The students of Chingaucousy Secondary School learn about the importance of blood donation.

Chingaucousy Secondary School

On December 3rd, Janice Grainger of Jays Angels visited Chingaucousy Secondary School in Brampton Ontario and shared Jay’s Story, a story about her son and his life long need for blood having lived with a rare blood disorder. With over 200 students in attendance and speaking for the first time to a large audience about Jay’s story and the importance of blood donation, Jan’s delivery was beautiful and afterwards many people told her they hadn’t even thought about donating until they heard Jay’s Story. “It was very heart-warming to be in a school atmosphere and speak to so many young adults” says Jan. A sincere thank you goes out to Chingaucousy Secondary School, for giving Jay’s Angels this opportunity.

In arrangement with Canadian Blood Services, Jay’s Angels is bringing awareness to the importance of blood donation by sharing the story of one man’s life-long need for blood, having lived with a rare disorder. Jays Angels are all the donors that generously donated in clinics during his 44 years of life and all those that continue to.
